  Terrible experience. The "Senior Tax Consultant" was extremely sloppy and careless while entering in information. I had to correct them multiple times on spelling errors and financial data that was input incorrectly. When it came time to pay my taxes owed, I elected to have the amount due withdrawn immediately from my checking account. I handed a check to the consultant and he proceeded to enter my banking information. The banking information was also entered incorrectly. I did not find this out until receiving "Failure of Payment" letters from both the IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue the day before Taxes were due. When confronted with this error, the consultant was not able to help correct the problem with the amount owed to the IRS but said that they fixed the problem with the amount owed to the Illinois Department of Revenue. This proved to be incorrect which I ultimately found out well after Taxes were due. I ended up having to pay all taxes owed online where I was subject to additional processing fees as well as late payment interest fees for my Illinois taxes. The manager of the branch was understanding when I complained about my experience but ultimately didn't help provide any resolution. My claim is still outstanding with HR Blocks Claim Team. My advice is to save yourself $400+ and not use HR Block. The service was terrible and not worth the price, time, and stress I spent personally to resolve issues caused by their lack of attention to detail.

  It seems Rachel is the only person in this store who can handle tax return for nonresident alian. That is not true! Rachel is unprofessional! Don't go to Rachel! I will give Rachel zero star if there is such an option! Rachel can't do the job if it is a little more complicated than what an online tax filing tool can do for you! I could have filed dual status, but Rachel didn't even mention it. In fact Rachel didn't even know the correct number of days for Substantial Presence Test. Don't waste your money and time! Rachel has no respect to the customer! I was there on time for my one-hour appointment, but Rachel was late for more than 15 minutes and she didn't even say sorry. Rachel couldn't or didn't want to explain any thing clearly to me for my case, but simply acted arrogantly and unfriendly. During our conversation I got so confused, but somehow Rachel was upset. Rachel wanted me to go to another person to file my return, which I did. I will never come to this place again! Don't go to Rachel! Rachel is so not unprofessional!!!
